Random side-note, I bought this pair of Kong cheung anklets in Cambodia a few years back. I didn’t have a chance to find a pair made out of good metals so unfortunately the pair I have are starting to tarnish. If someone has info about #khmer jewelry, I definitely want to buy another pair in the future.

Wondering how to support small businesses in the midst of a pandemic when your own funds are low?? 🤔

Dropping this here to answer a few more questions about the cloffice that I saw over on @apartmenttherapy’s timeline.

How did the cloffice have power?? There’s a breaker box right behind the door so running an outlet in the closet wasn’t a problem. 🔌

How does a person with elbows work in that cloffice? The only issues I had/have with my elbows is that they’re constantly ashy, but the office had absolutely nothing to do with that. They’re just dryyyy 🤷🏾‍♀️

How do you deal with losing prime closet space to stuff things? Lots of things are stuffed in that space!!! There’s a canister vacuum on the floor to the right- (peep the black cord), boxes of family photos, receipts for taxes, hats, books, cards, legal documents, tripods, sentimental knick- knacks and a full on NAIL SHOP 💅 (swipe to see how @ikeausa spice racks organize polish).

This is the face you make when you’ve got a new address AND a new business entity!! 😜

It’s official y’all, I moved into my new place! You won’t believe it but the business part was definitely much easier than the move. I had the help of @startsmall_thinkbig, their pro bono team of lawyers tackled all of the legal ins and outs, which freed me up to focus on the business itself and the daunting task of packing up my tiny studio apartment. For months y’all saw me on @apartmenttherapy showing off all of my ceiling high vertical storage— well somebody had to move all of that stored stuff!! 🥴 Let’s just say I made a lotttttt of trips up and down the stairs. Wheww, the glutes were working overtime 🥵 but aaaaaaayyyyyy these jeans are suddenly fitting right!! 🤣😂🤣😂Hahahahahaha!!!

Here’s the tea on how I got this large scale art behind me for a small amount of cash!! Hint-hint, it’s basically a huge window cling!! Scroll to see what I mean.

A neighbor on my block was getting rid of a glass table top. I brought it home and Nacho and I mounted it to the wall. I’m a huge fan of line art and sketches so this Rodin piece in the free open source files was a perfect fit for my apartment. I had it printed at @squarpix, (according to my research vinyl large scale printing was more cost effective and the resolution of the image did not have to be as high) as other printing costs. The vinyl is static cling so I squeegeed it on to the table top and boom 💥 large scale art!!!!

It’s fun and sad reminiscing about all of the projects that went into this tiny studio, but I’m looking forward to new inspiration that comes with a fresh space.

How it started vs. How it’s going
(Floor tile edition ) 🤣

Strolling down the aisles of a big box store, I originally laid hands on a tile that was waaaaay over my landlord’s flooring budget. After being shut down I chose a tile that’s relatively nondescript (it’s a rental), looks like cement, and makes the outdoor space feel like an extension of the indoor space. The day it was installed , I dropped by to take a look and hated it ( Sidenote: I was having a roooough day). Consequently 79% of y’all hated it too!! 🤣. Over the past few days it’s growing on me. Yesterday was a doozy!!! Half way through I had a conversation with a friend about strength — facing challenges head on, pulling yourself up by your boot straps, being resilient, etc. For me that’s not what I consider my strength, it’s simply something that I do out of necessity. My strength is displayed when I roll over and share my underbelly.

Now courageeeeee, that’s an entirely different conversation, I’m shaking in my boots trying to muster up the COURAGE to head over to my new apartment and stare down that tile that 80% of us are not feeling. (check the stories). Your girl is shook 😳🙀!!!
