Spring is here (I probably just jinxed it), and as

Spring is here (I probably just jinxed it), and as I prep my urban garden, I can’t help but think about what I’d do differently if I started from scratch:
1. Trench the entire fence line to block rats, not just under the deck.
2. Skip softwood furniture, carpenter bees turned my picnic table into dust.
3. Those luxury seeds? Zero blooms. Total waste.
4. Wineberry bush? Gorgeous but vicious. Spreads fast and covered in thorns.
5. Mulch brought snails. They ate everything. I’d switch to black lava rock.
6. Biggest regret? Not asking for help!! I broke a stunning marble base I planned to turn into a raised flower bed.

I upholstered my trampoline. Yes, I said trampoline! What started as a quirky idea turned out to be my favorite design decision of 2024. Now, this mini trampoline doesn’t just serve as exercise equipment, it anchors my office as a multifunctional ottoman.

The health benefits of rebounding on a mini trampoline are incredible:
✨Boosts lymphatic drainage and detoxification
✨ Improves balance and coordination
✨ Strengthens bones and muscles without the harsh impact on joints
✨ Enhances cardiovascular health

This project is a true reflection of my design philosophy which is let’s make it functional, beautiful, and just a little unexpected. If you love innovative ideas like this, make sure to follow, share, and save this post for inspiration!

Hosting during the holidays in a small space can still feel grand with a few simple ideas!

✨ Repurpose & Reinvent: My dining tabletop used to be the top of a coffee table! By converting it, I created a dining surface that fits perfectly in my small lounge. Because it’s not a traditional size, I keep the place settings minimal to leave more room for comfort.

🌿 Use What You Have: Fresh greenery makes all the difference. I clipped a piece of my favorite coleus (one of the plants that started the gnat outbreak 🤦🏾‍♀️— updates on that soon). Anyway, it added an organic touch.

🪞Reflection is Key: Reflective surfaces make the room feel larger —the mirrors, the gold contact paper and the laquer look paint on the inside of the bar all bounce light, creating the illusion of more space.

🕯️ Set the Mood: Candles are a must for that warm, cozy ambiance—they’re simple but transformative. I looove when they get all melty and drip!
