The Trampoline Ottoman (name reveal soon)
Function and Style for the Win
Okay, so let me tell you about this project of mine that’s basically been eight years in the making—or, at the very least, eight years of being a nagging eyesore in my home. I love bouncing on my mini trampoline it’s fun and a fantastic workout with lots of health benefits (I’ll get to that in a minute). But honestly, I hated dragging it out every time I wanted to use it. Oh and leaving it out was even worse because mini trampolines are ugly –that might be a little harsh. Hmm, let’s just say it didn’t fit the aesthetic around here!! So one day, I thought, “Why not make it cute enough to leave out all the time?” And boom—the trampoline ottoman was born!

The “Why Didn’t I Do This Sooner?” Moment
If you’ve been here or on my socials, you know I’m all about pieces that are both stylish and functional. So, this project was basically a no-brainer. I got to work figuring out how to make it a chic piece of hybrid fitness furniture that fits into my lifestyle and decor.
What’s Next?
Because so many of you suggested it, I’m officially going through the patent process to get this product to your living room! We are patent pending!! If all goes well, you might just be able to get one for yourself soon. Right now, I’m exploring the best way to make this ottoman a reality on a larger scale. I’m seeking and meeting with potential production partners and investors, to find the right fit. I even applied for Shark Tank! (fingers crossed). It’s a really exciting moment that is challenging and stretching me in unexpected ways.

Why a Mini Trampoline? (Besides Being Ridiculously Fun)
Beyond looking cute and being a sneaky workout tool, a mini trampoline actually has some legit health benefits:
Here’s some science:

2. Enhanced Mobility in Neurological Conditions
Systematic review findings suggest that rebound exercise can significantly improve mobility in individuals with neurological disorders, such as stroke and multiple sclerosis. (Source)
3. Increased Bone Density
Research indicates that high-impact jump training on a mini-trampoline can lead to improvements in hip bone mineral density among premenopausal women. (Source)
4. Effective Aerobic Workout
Studies have found that mini-trampoline exercise can produce training intensities aligning with established exercise guidelines, offering an effective and safe workout adaptable to various fitness levels. (Source)
There are several more studies that explore the benefits of rebounding and having a mini trampoline. I’ll share more of the research over time. But right now, I’m gonna hop off of here so I can jump on a quick workout! :). Talk soon!
