Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Lynn at IKEA. She stopped me to express how much she liked the studio apartment, the new garden apartment, and to let me know that she bought a roll of gold contact paper!!! Reflecting on our conversation, I realized some of those studio design moments are shared on other platforms, but I don’t have them anchored here. 📌 As I look through the images I see just how much has changed. It feels good to stretch out a bit. 🛌Thanks Lynn for the reminders, I’m grateful for unexpected connections and the shared love for creating beautiful spaces.

This cozy little corner is nestled on 🔝 of a bed!! Yes you read that right. My client rented a Harlem apartment that had a custom captains bed that the landlord would not remove. We needed to create a work from home office space that would also function as a comfortable study area, but that gigantic bed crowded the entire spare bedroom. Welp we built right on top of it! A few @thecontainerstore elfa shelves and a little creativity made this fully functional home office nothing to sleep on!

Feeling like I want to give my living room a “warm hug” by way of adding a deeper, warmer toned beige to the walls. Initially, I opted for a warm ceiling and lighter walls to gauge the light quality from season to season. After three years, I’m embracing the coziness of the slightly dark ground floor in this brownstone and recognizing that I want a heftier beige to hold up to the shadows of an overcast day. Above the French doors you’ll see all of the contenders. I’m looking for a beige that’s the same color as my hair on a good day! The process of elimination is taking some time! Since life is the occasion, I don’t shy away from sparkly anything. Expect to see the @stuartweitzman “Crystal fringe” boots well beyond the holidays, I’m thinking Bermuda shorts and rhinestone sunglasses come summer. It’s gonna happen!
